Sylvester Stallone ended up with broken neck after fighting Stone Cold Steve Austin

The Aging star Sylvester Stallone was taken for emergency surgery after a fighting ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin in a film scene.

A metal plate had to be inserted in his neck after the accident on the set of The Expendables film.

The 63 year old actor stated to FHM magazine: Oh man, we wore seven guys, kicking each other’s buts, every guy tougher than the following 1. No joke, even our stunt guys were begging for mercy.

“Really, my fight with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin was so vicious that I finished up getting fractured neck. I’m not joking.

“I haven’t told anyone this, but I had to get a very serious surgery afterwards. I now have a metallic plate in my neck.”

The upcoming film focuses on a gang of soldiers on their way to destroy an abroad dictator.

The film features some of the biggest names in Hollywood – including Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mickey Rourke, and Jason Statham.

Brittany Murphy, who died in December of heart attack, was also appointed in the film.

Stallone, who actually is the writer of the script and the director of the film, told the cast took the stunts to the total limit.

“Man, those guys were so thrilled of making the film. They wake up at 5.30 in the morning just to shoot a five minutes scene,” also told S Stallone.

Stallone has previously had getting injured during filming – and nearly died while making Rocky IV.

He told: “Dolph Lundgren and I always went for it. I gave him orders to try knocking me out while the cameras were recording.

“At 1 stage, he hit me so strong on the head I felt my spine contracted.

“He then hit me with a powerful uppercut. The same night my chest began to swell, and I had to be lifted with a helicopter from my hotel to a nearby ER.
